Jude Hawthorne 10/18/20 Josie was a pretty thing. Not in the way that women who try to be pretty are pretty. Jude knew enough of that sort from work. And they were a fine kind of captivating. But Josie was more like.. Sunlight slipping through the mist mire first thing in the morn. Lovely just as the gods intended her to be. All soft curves and bright blue eyes and wit worn like armor. Even with her messy hair and over-sized sweater and sharp tongue.

Jude liked this about her. This is why even though the woman looking up at her complained at first, Jude just smiled wider until she gave in. She was a bit insistent in her silence maybe. But it'd be a damn shame to miss out on a chance to let loose at a party you didn't even have to pay to get in. When at last she agreed on the condition she picks the costumes, well, Jude was more than happy with that arrangement.

“You'll get no objections from me, Darlin'. You take care of the costumes and I'll handle makin' sure we have a good time.” Jude leaned forward, shadow cast over the small woman and the book she was holding. A finger traced along the page, jade eyes lowered, grin mischievous. “I promise not to let you down, eh?” She smirked, showing the 'hey Jude' comment didn't go unnoticed. “I'm looking forward to it.”
Jude Hawthorne 10/17/20 Jude had never been to a Masquerade ball before. Oh, she'd spent plenty of time at fancy gigs, dolled up on the arm of whoever she was there to escort or protect.. if the pay was good enough. But she'd never gone to some ritzy event just for the hell of it. Just because she felt like it. But, when the slick invitation showed up and she saw it was a real invitation – “cordially invited” and all that – she couldn't help being a little interested.

In fact, not only was Jude decided on going, but she also made the decision to take someone with her. It was a costume party after all, seemed like the sort of thing you'd bring a date to. Now, she didn't know many people – at least, not many she'd want to and enjoy spending time with outside of her paid hourly rates – and most of the ones she did want to spend time with were usually quite busy.

So, she crossed her fingers behind her back for luck as she approached Josephine. Jude had only met the witch recently but she liked to think they'd make fast friends. A grin split her sardonic lips into a genuine smile as she sauntered up. “Well, I do declare. If it isn't Miss Josie Collins. Been a while.” She swiped a hand through her hair and tilted her head to the side. “Say. I heard there's this big party happening. Wanna go crash it together?”
EtaineNightBreed 09/24/20 Welcome to the Odd Squad! IF you need anytime just ask!"
Ori Yorogumo 09/24/20 “Welcome to the Realm, Traveler.” A brief smile crept up the corner of her mouth from behind her fan. “I am Ori. If you should need any assistance or have any questions, please feel free to contact me.” She fluttered the sensu against her chest as she turned to glide away and paused, “Oh yes. This is a very strange place. Filled with many dangers and delights. I do hope to see you again, in good health.”
Virelai Tylwyth 09/24/20 Virelai watched the woman for any sign of recognition in those bright blue eyes. For a moment there was nearly nothing. But after a time, Vir could practically feel the shift inside the mind as it collected what it could of the past and pieced it back together. She knew how difficult it could be to recall the things that came before the death of the body. Tragic, really. Or perhaps, sometimes, a blessing.

Which it would be for this one, remained to be seen.

Still, what memories there were proved to be more than enough for Virelai to relax and draw a few steps closer. When the witch smiled, perhaps genuinely at Vir for the first time, the Fae's own lips curled into a conspiring grin of her own. “I am not so old yet as to go blind or forgetful.” She replied, tilting her head as her smile widened a fraction, became sharper. “I believe you are right. There is simply too much left of your brilliant mind for it to sleep the peace of eternity.”

She did not reach out to brush the woman's skin, but instead extended her hand. She knew this one, at least, did not like to be touched thoughtfully. “Welcome back, Josie. You were sorely missed.”
Rose the Hat 09/23/20 My wild Irish Rose,
The sweetest flow'r that grows,
You may search ev'rywhere,
But none can compare
With my wild Irish Rose.

Sweet, dulcet tones poured forth from ruby lips as the top-hatted femme boheme absently hummed to herself. A crooked smile spread over angelic features at the sight of a new arrival; a mischievous glint in those emerald eyes.

"Well, hi there." She drew closer, handing you a small bouquet of freshly picked wildflowers, "Welcome to the realm, stranger. You look new around here. This place can be dark and scary sometimes. If it gets too lonely or you need a guide, do seek me out. Either way, I will be keeping an eye out for you, and I do hope you shine"

Virelai Tylwyth 09/23/20 Virelai could barely contain her excitement when the series of symbols and inky swirls appeared in the pages of her leather-bound book. Her bare feed skipped along the pavement, practically dancing, as she sought out the bearer of that name. She had to be cautious. It could be a mistake. Or a coincidence. Or even a doppelganger. But she couldn't simply pretend it didn't make her curious.

She approached the woman cautiously, observing her at a distance. Noticing the similarities. At least, unable to simply watch anymore, she stepped into the brunettes line of sight, her own pale hair flying around her, skin practically buzzing. “Well, now.” Her voice rang out, soft and ethereal between them. “If it is not one miss Josephine Collins. Come to grace us with her presence once again.” Now it was only a matter of whether or not the young witch recognized her.
