ASK BEFORE ATTACKING ME ONLINE (I'll gladly return the favor) Henry is egotistical and spoiled due to his upbringing. Used to getting what he wants, he will become violent if not given his way. He believes that it is his right to get whatever he wants no matter the cost. Born in 1491, Henry Tudor is the second son of King Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. He was never expected to be King and was therefore brought up spoiled, his every whim catered to. Instead of learning politics and rules of governing, Henry spent his days hunting, jousting and carousing with friends The death of his brother Arthur soon put a halt to his carefree life .Gone were his days of wine and women. He was hastily taught how to rule a Kingdom. A treaty signed by Henry VII and King Ferdinand of Spain forced young Henry to marry Arthur’s wife, Catherine of Aragon, years his senior. King Henry VII died in 1509 and the 18 year old Henry took the throne as King of England. Catherine became his Queen. Tall, handsome and athletic, Henry brought youth and vigor to the Court that had long been lacking under his father. Henry dreamed of glory beyond hunting and jousting. He has taken on many mistresses due to his loveless marriage. A married Mary Boleyn caught his eye and they lasted many years. One fateful Christmas Ball, Mary’s sister Anne caught Henry’s attention. He was entranced by her quick wit and charm instantly. She challenged his ideals and mind and showed him just what a great King he could be without people running it for him. Claiming to keep her virtue intact, Anne insists that Henry forsake Mary and the Queen to claim her as his prize. |
