Jeremiah let his hand drop away from Cadence's and used it instead to usher her in the direction of a coffee shop or something of the sort. They sold tea in those places, right? He wasn't quite sure how to react to what she'd said, so he just smiled and politely nodded along. He wasn't a normal wolf. He had never had a pack and never been in the situations that other wolves had been. He was created, and then left to fend for himself when he and the other soldiers proved too difficult to manage. "What kind of tea? Oh, my dear. You never ask an Englishman what his favorite kind of tea is. A good Darjeeling in the afternoon, it's light and easy on the palate. Maybe a nice Yunnan for breakfast, just to get the eyes open a little bit."
He gave a little smile, shaking his head. "There's not much to men, quite honestly. We are fairly simple creatures. Take me for, example. The tea is quite enough. Though..it sounds as if your cousin might be a good sort as well." Not that Jeremiah would count himself as a good sort. He just knew he was different than most, especially nowadays. |

This smile, this slightly calmer version of her, was easier for Jeremiah to take quiet honestly. He was a reserved man most of the time. It had been his nature before he'd been infected and after being able to contain his wolf for the better part of seventy years, he was able to fill that role more easily. So, in any case, he was able to return the smile though it was much smaller than hers. "Well, what kind of gentleman would I be if I didn't take up such a kind offer. You will have to let it be my treat, of course. I can't exactly turn down a good cup of tea, can I?" He would then give her a nod and move weight from one leg to the other awkwardly. He would then offer a hand, and would give hers a grandfatherly type pat on hers if she took it. |
Jeremiah Richards |
10/14/19 |
He shook his head at her words. No, he could not imagine. In fact, he didn't even want to imagine. He wasn't really much of a people person...not since the whole wolf thing at least. "I have to agree with you there, Ms. Cadence. The smaller circle the better, in fact." Though their opinion on what was considered small was probably vastly different. "And, it's a pleasure to meet you too." Even if she was very bubbly, which he was decidedly not. |
Jeremiah Richards |

He gives a short, deep, laugh as the woman literally bounds up to him. “Well, I suppose I could say the same thing about you. And other people, of course.” Interacting with others again was still something the man was getting used to, so it often felt awkward and strange just like it did now. “I’m Jeremiah.” |

Cadence Well ,they asked nicely. In the form of a poem. It's all dealt with now and I got mochi! Wanna try? |

All throughout the Realm strange events were occurring, dark and dangerous things were stirring within the space they had all claimed as home. And yet, among all of those frightening happenings, there was an undercurrent of something more. Strange flyers were materializing at random intervals. On alley walls, grave stones, in pockets and upon coffee tables, tucked away in the most peculiar places where you would swear there was nothing before.
With them came the doors, black oak with a spindly red flower engraved in the grain, seeming to come from nowhere. They would simply appear in those same odd places. Tucked in an alcove of a back-alleyway, taking up space on a mausoleum, or within abandoned houses. And the flyers were the key.
They would take flight, tugging and fluttering like moths to a flame, and lead the way – for those who were found to have one of those pieces of paper in their possession – to those doors. Others might stumble across them in those hidden places and place their hand upon the smooth wood, watch them swing open, and walk through.
That same red flower would bloom on the back of the hand of any who chose to do so. And there would be another pull, a shift in the air as they traveled through darkness, and a second door would open revealing a fog covered woodland. A short way ahead there would be a house, tall and strange, with a large black door inviting them in. |

Tag. Tag. Mackenzie runs up, gives him a smack, and he’s supposed to be reduced to school yard games throughout the party? Not likely. Nope!
...Sh!t.
He spots his next target. Has her in his sights. It only takes a moment before he descends upon her with the ghost of a touch.
“You’re it!” And he takes off in a flash. |
Beau Theroux |
08/22/19 |
Cadence Well ,that came outta nowhere. I'm glad you came. Without you, I'd still be trudging through New Orleans going through the motions. Ya changed my life, Cadence. |
Beau Theroux |
08/22/19 |
Cadence You rebel. I'm so proud. |
Beau Theroux |
08/22/19 |
Cadence Wow, I am impressed. How did you manage that? I thought videogames were the devil or some sh-t in the LeBlanc tribe? |
Joseph French |
08/22/19 |
"I just assumed that everyone here already knew everyone else's business," Joe replied as he took hold of a sunflower seed and cracked the shell between his thumb and finger. As he separated the digits, the pieces of shell stuck to his skin, the inner seed rested atop one half. He held it out to her, his focus on his fingers, not on her. "It's Joseph." |
Joseph French |
08/22/19 |
Joseph frowns, pulling back the bag to look inside it. "I just squish them between my fingers until something pops out," he replies. Looking back to the woman, he shakes his head. "Nuts, right? I'm allergic." |
Joseph French |
08/22/19 |
Joseph sucked at his teeth, eyeing the woman over. He'd been eating sunflower seeds and one of the little buggers was stuck. He sucked at them again, running his tongue over their surfaces. It was only then, lost in the intense concentration of removing sunflower seeds from teeth that he noticed the outstretched hand. Not one for touching complete strangers, he busied his right hand by holding out the half-eaten bag of sunflower seeds to her. |

Cadence It's been a while since I went for a run. I was actually starting to forget I was part Lycan! I will be there in a bit. |

Cadence So uh where is it again? I just touched down. Also, I forgot how much I HATE flying. |
Beau Theroux |
07/28/19 |
Cadence Wouldn't know. I'm in Pittsburgh. Got a connecting flight soon to La Gardia. On my way to ya. |
Merida Campbell |
07/23/19 |
She listened as amber colored eyes watched Cadence approach her. Of course, she couldn't help but smile while speaking "Yes, I was within the influx of new faces." She would extend her hand out in greeting "A pleasure in meeting you Cadence. I'm Merida. |
Adara Litvinova |
07/22/19 |

Cadence If you didn't make the treats; kidnap them and chain them to the kitchen. Stockholm syndrome gets me yummies. |
Adara Litvinova |
07/22/19 |
Oh, Addie is a happy woman. Hiding away from Tiber and her kid; munching on snacks and putting new phone number into her phone. She would have to do something for Cade later, but for now, she definitely needed to express her gratitude.
Cadence You're one snack away from being my best friend. Thank you! -Addie |
Tiber Loche |
07/22/19 |
*awkward laughter*
Oh, right. Yeah. Come on then.
*clears the way and ushers her in*
It's a bit of a mess, but.
It's my mess.
*goofy grin* |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence Don't you fret, cher. It's slow going so far. I got the inside scoop. You just focus on your Masters and getting me some of that moonshine. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence The LeBlancs live by a set of rules. A basic education is offered to all in the pack, no exceptions. Other packs find life to be the best educator. They are more wolf than man. They are far worse than your family but are kept on tighter leashes by the Elders. I don't know why they are trying to make alliances with these packs but it can't be for anything good. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence They don't choose the great ones for situations like yours. And if it's the pack I'm thinking of, education ain't their strong suit. Your family has been trying to attain alliances with more...feral packs as of late. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence They are smart and cute and I regularly visit them. All these beautiful people make it hard to concentrate! They do like the brawny ones, huh? |
Tiber Loche |
07/21/19 |
*answers the door so fast*
*probably tripped on the way*
Hi, hello, get in here with those puppies. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence That's in Tennessee! Here, we have sober swamp pups. And they are adorable. Those vampires are real pretty. Hell, everyone around here is pretty. Have you noticed that? It ain't just me, right? |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence I agree. Hence why I try to spread the ideal. The reptiles here are a part of the wonder! Moonshine is a favorite of mine. I get it shipped to the bar once in a while but it's usually limited. Next time I get a shipment, I'll show ya what you've been missing. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence They will stay gone as long as you're in my pack. We are a free-range pack, no chains allowed. Moonshine, you say? Well, I might have to make my way up there for a visit. Been a while since I've been up north. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence She was a gorgeous woman! And she was givin' me the moves! You will get them soon enough. Once you leave the chains that bind you life tends to happen. Ah, yes, a respectable crew. I haven't met the leaders myself but learned of them during my time in Elysium. |
Tiber Loche |
07/21/19 |
Cadence
I think if you share those with Addie she might replace me with you... which means you should just give them all to me. ;) |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence That one is actually true. I didn't know until she tried to take a bite. Then it got awkward. To be fair I was dealing with a break up and I had been drinking. Which cult did you join? |
Tiber Loche |
07/21/19 |
Cadence
Almost as much as I like moonshine. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence You are correct. I am a sugar fiend. The rum sauce ontop dulls the sweetness of the banana. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Your family isn't too keen on 'change.' What you are doing is taboo to them so of course he'd be pissed. It tickles me pink. Do I need to sacrifice newborns for my dark rituals? Create more chaos? I'd hate not to live up to the stories. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence Sad people, that's who. Next time you come by I'll make my homemade bananas foster. So you joined a Sanctuary, huh? I didn't think you were the type. |
Beau Theroux |
07/21/19 |
Cadence So you finally gave it a toss? About time. Beignets are the tip of the iceberg. You like ice cream? |
Valentin Metzger |
07/21/19 |
"Willkommen." Valentin gives an abrupt nod to the woman he passes on the grounds of the Den. |
Tanvir Buckley |
07/21/19 |
"I'll be around," Tan replies, hoisting her bag back onto her shoulder. |
Tanvir Buckley |
07/20/19 |
"Mmhmm" Tanvir confirmed with the slightest nod. She knew she was talented, but she was completely unable to take compliments. "Trust me, having a home, having a familiar place to return to, that's infinitely better" |
Tanvir Buckley |
07/20/19 |
"Oh, wow...umm, thanks." Tan replies, taking the bag. "I...hold on." Taking one knee, Tanvir pulls her shoulderbag off and places it on the floor, lifting the flap to reach inside. It's full of pens and pencils and a rather beaten digital SLR. Wrapping her fingers about a small sketchbook, she opens it and sifts through the used pages. Deciding on her victim, she tears out the page and hands it up to Cadence before returning back to standing. Across the page is a pencil and watercolour illustration of a mountainscape in Nepal. Early morning as the reds and golds of sunrise reflect off the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. "There, a picture of a there for you. Welcome too." |
Tanvir Buckley |
07/20/19 |
"Do I?" she asked of herself, raising a quizzical eyebrow. "Y'know, I'm not sure." |
Tanvir Buckley |
07/20/19 |
"Well, you said you just got here. So you must have been in the there to be able to arrive at the here, no?" |
Tanvir Buckley |
07/20/19 |
"Hi," Tanvir replies. "Got here from where?" |
Beau Theroux |
07/18/19 |
A soft hum escaped the man in the tune of Rocket Man playing in the background. A praline was brought to his own lips where he devoured it in one bite. Once all his new creations had been placed to cool he leaned backwards against the counter behind him.
"We do make some scrumptious eats, cher."
Arms crossed over his broad chest as Cadence began to explain her origins. The Baltimore pack was no stranger to Beau. As soon as he entered the city back in his younger days he had become swarmed. They did not like other wolves in their territory, especially a witch's mutt. Her reasoning was painfully familiar.
Madison.
Beau had to catch himself. Despite the years that had past his sister's death still plagued him. Eyes glanced towards the fridge at a plane ticket slated for May 5th of 2004. Quickly, he returned his attention to Cadence. "You understand what position you have put me in, correct? I am intervening in a decision set by an alpha appointed by the Elders if I take you in which could cause more issues with the LeBlancs."
Another praline was placed into his mouth as he stared at her, face showing little to no emotion. After a few tense moments he left the counter and closed the distance between them. A hand reached out towards the woman."However, it is my right as New Orleans South Alpha to accept any member seeking relocation and sanctuary."A hand was extended towards the woman. Never had his gut steered him wrong regarding people. Cadence had told him all he needed to know, and the energies around her told the rest. "I'll be d@mned if I let our archaic, misogynistic ways of barter claim another woman's freedom. Welcome to the pack." |
Tiber Loche |

The man nodded along, waiting exactly zero seconds before he shoved some of the glasses into the womans direction. She had offered, after all. "Yes, perfect, thank you." A board grin adorned his features, splitting his expression into one that seemed friendly enough. "I trust you've been given the tour? Either way, you can follow along now. I'll show you a few of the lesser known spectacles." |

"Alright, so, I haven't got the stills up and running yet. They're a little rusty. Bit of an eyesore, really." The stocky man juggled a number of glass jars in his arms, each one clinking softly against the next. "Ignore the smell. Raul is supposed to be helping me clean the fvcking thing..." Tiber paused, lining each of the jars against the cushion of his left arm before he extended his right to offer a hand. "Sorry. Tiber Loche. I think your cabin is just up the lot from mine." |
Aubry Daniels |
07/18/19 |
Addy had said to welcome the new member to The Lycan's Den. Show them some "love" or some similar crap. That was easy for most to do, but for Aubry, it took every ounce of motivation she had in her small frame. Aubry was not a social person by nature and though she was slowly coming out of her shell, some things still were not easy to do.
Inhaling deeply Aubry set out to do that welcome thing. Approaching Cadence she gave a small smile as she spoke. "Welcome to The Lycan's Den. I hope you enjoy your stay." |
Beau Theroux |

Once he reached the stove Beau removed a saucepan full of cloudy, caramel colored syrup with bits and pieces of pecans suspended evenly throughout. When his guest approached he began to drop spoonfuls of the liquid onto wax paper buffered underneath by newspaper.
"They are delicious. Just some some white and brown sugar, milk, some butter and finally my own special ingredient. Cayenne pepper. Adds some heat to the sweet."
From the basket of finished pralines the man took and offered one to Cadence. "Cooking is a hobby of mine. Here in the Theroux household we always have somethin' on the stove."
Whether she accepted the snack or not he would continue to drop more globs onto the wax paper, flattening them as best he could. "Now, which one of the LeBlanc clans do you hail from? From the smell of it, I'd say one of the Northeast packs?"Evergreen hues glanced at the woman quizzically. |
Beau Theroux |
07/16/19 |
Both hands grasped the doorway and he leaned forward with eyes trained on the entrance of his home. Recently he had ripped the secondary door off it's hinges simply because his restraint had been lacking in such a tired state. Across the room, the sad door stood. Waiting for repair. His stance was not only for comfort but also protection of his own home. How many times had LeBlancs come to the bar to wreck the place?
Maybe he was being paranoid. This one was a new face in the typical usual crowd. Beau's stern features greeted the woman when she got close enough. He stood patiently as she explained herself rather poorly with little detail. A single brow arched upwards at her withholding statements. His posture returned upright with his arms falling to his side.
"Well, I have one thing to ask you." Suddenly, his features became warmer. Friendly even. "Care for a praline?" After turning on his heel he made his way back to the open kitchen to which he beckoned her follow. "I understand your desire for secrecy. However, you need to give me something to work off of. Your family ain't one to trifle with." Upon entering the kitchen he gestured to a plate of caramel color treats stacked ontop of a paper plate. "For now, though, let's get to know eachother." |

Welcome! |
Beau Theroux |
07/16/19 |
My name is Cadence LeBlanc and he's my cousin.
Silence. Never had a LeBlanc simply strolled up to his door in broad daylight. His father's family members were never so subtle. He contemplated her words for a moment searching for some kind of punchline. Why would a LeBlanc seek sanctuary with him? After a few moments he pressed the button once more.
"Come up. Don't try anythin' funny. I will hear you out, but can promise nothin'."
After a click of the speaker, the sound of a buzzer and the door unlocking followed. |
Beau Theroux |
07/16/19 |
The sweet scent of melted sugar wafted through the man's home while Beau enjoyed his first day off in what seemed to be ages. In a pan on the stove he stirred together ingredients required for his famous pralines all the while Elton John's greatest hits played in the background. Just as he dipped his finger into the syrupy creation for a taste he heard the buzz of his door. Emrald greens glanced in the direction of the buzzer while his pinky was placed into his mouth.
Bare feet carried the man across the wooden floors until he reached the device. Clicking the button, he spoke in his professional voice.
"Theroux Household, Owners of The Rompin' Rougarou, who has come a'ringin?" |
