Shadow knew his beloved loved rubies above all the jewelry he had crafted for He had a lovely shadow opal that had followed her on her long journey from him and their children. He protected his most precious jewel as only a shadow dragon could. He saw her every joy, her every tear and her discouragement. Working through his shadow opal he gave her the strength and determination by whispering silently and smoothing her way home back to him and his children. He knew she was worthy of this jewel and he slipped into her hand as she slept the sleep of her kind. |
